Entry 5: Crime and Punishment in the Digital Era Date:  08/05/2026 | Category: Level 6 Topics When we talk about Crime and Punishment in the 21st century, we must address the dark side of the web: cybercrime. As system developers, we hold the keys to sensitive data. Crimes like identity theft, unauthorized hacking, malware distribution, and software piracy are major threats to society. The punishment for these digital crimes is becoming stricter, ranging from heavy financial fines to years in prison. This is why cybersecurity and ethical hacking are so critical right now. We have a legal and moral obligation to build secure systems to protect users and avoid the severe consequences that come with data breaches.

Entry 4: Critical Thinking and Media Literacy in the IT World Date: 08/05/2026 | Category: Level 6 Topics In today's hyper-connected world, Critical Thinking and Media Literacy are essential, especially for a software developer. We are constantly bombarded with tutorials, tech news, and new frameworks. Media literacy helps us evaluate which information sources are reliable and which are just clickbait. Critical thinking allows us to analyze complex logic problems instead of simply copying and pasting code from the internet without understanding it. As developers, we consume and create media daily. We must question the algorithms we build and verify the data we use to ensure we are creating ethical, unbiased, and truly useful technology.

Entry 3: Speaking My Mind - My Audio Evidence Date: 08/05/2026   | Category: Speaking & Soft Skills Communication is key in tech! Here I present two audio projects where I practiced my fluency:Audio 1 - Obligations and Attitudes: In this podcast, I discussed my academic responsibilities. I highlighted that I must attend all my virtual sessions and that I have to use version control tools, like Git or Github, to manage my work professionally. I also reflected on the fact that developers should never compromise the privacy of people for the sake of a faster delivery.  Audio 2 - Trajectory and Leadership: Using conditionals, I projected my future. I established that if I complete my SENA certification successfully this year, I will apply for an internship in a software house. I also imagined leadership scenarios, stating that if I were a project manager, I would promote a culture of transparency and flexibility.

Entry 2: Professional Projection - My Front-End Job Application Date: 08/05/2026 | Category: Career Development & Writing Preparing for the real world is essential. For this evidence, I crafted a formal cover letter applying for a Junior Front-End Software Developer position .  In this application, I highlighted my strong foundation in web design and my practical experience in HTML, CSS, layout organization, and responsive styling. I also emphasized my ability to write clean code and adhere strictly to client requirements. This exercise helped me understand how to market my technical skills professionally in a second language!

Entry 1: Exploring Tech History - The Linus Torvalds Chronicle Date: 08/05/2026 | Category: Tech History & Reading As part of my English learning process, I wrote a chronicle about Linus Benedict Torvalds, the most influential software engineer of the digital age. My text explores how a simple child's fascination with machine code evolved into a global revolution.  In 1991, Torvalds announced a free operating system project, calling it "just a hobby". That hobby became the Linux kernel. He is also the creator of Git, which is now the world standard for software collaboration. Through his story, I learned that open collaboration is the most powerful tool for technological progress.
